This quilt has been auctioned for Breast Cancer Support.

This quilt is a reintruptation of Off to the Ball (part One, which was sold at my art show) with the addition of 2 silver ponies. It took me over 100 hours to complete. Some of the details include hand beading off the bushes surrounding the castle. The princess is three dimensional, complete with frothy gown and even a few froggies on her path (in case the night doesn't go as planned).

Details of the border include satin stitched roses and a ribbon woven around the entire outer border. (See images below)

The quilt is inspired and dedicated to my granddaughter Alexis Deaken, with the greatest of hopes that by the time she needs to be afraid of this dreaded disease, she will have no need to and can spend her life joyfully going off to many balls - like the princess she is …(pictured below)
