Although I like to think that all of my quilts are special family heirlooms, this one is truly unique as it was designed for 2 very wonderful friends and neighbours.

As Val love flowers, I went to my stash of floral fabric to choose a garden of flowers that were appliqued around each photo. Matching threads were used to satin stitch around each flower.

Many little critters, such as lady bugs, butterflys and the occasional frog were added, - just for fun.

Valerie had brought me the blue plaid several months ago to add to my fabric collection - Little did she know that it was going to be used in her quilt!
