Size 48" X 48"

When a very loyal repeat customer asked me to create a very special memory quilt and was kind enough to trust my judgement, I was sent pouring over some of my older pattern books for inspiration.

I found this pattern in an issue from a magazine called Quiltmaker, 1986. Just goes to show that classic patterns such as this never go out of style!!

Extremely accurate cutting, pressing and lots and lots of pinning were essential to make the chains connect properly, to form the optical illusions of intersecting chains. Thankfully the quilting goddesses were smiling as I made this quilt, as everything went together smoothly - this quilt put my machines 1/4 seam allowance foot to its test.

It was great fun to watch this "Jig-saw puzzle" come together. Thanks for your faith in me Susan!!

I hope that your family enjoy this quilt 1/2 as much as I did making it.
