This quilt is perhaps my most ambitious and rewarding piece . Family photos(both coloured &black &white work equally well)were sized, photocopied ,printed onto "transfer paper", printed onto 100%white cotton ,embellished with lace & ribbons, and quilted onto a wood-grain poly/cotton fabric. Mother's love of flowers and Dad's birdwatching hobby were both depicted in appliqued pieces added to the shelves of this Bookcase Quilt. Any special occasion such as a wedding , birthday , retirement can be memorialized with this one-of - kind wall-hanging.
