Machine Appliqued

This lucky baby's mum sent me swatches of the primary colours and a few Dr. Seuss Characters, for this quilt. With the help of my grandaughter, Alexis we decided on some of these favourites (She wouldn't let me use the Grinch - "too scary for a little baby" she said.)

Each character was hand painted and appliqued onto a light blue background.

The wonderful and wild Dr. Seuss fabric sent from California was used for the outer border.

Hopefully this baby's future will be as bright and cheery as his/her nursry.
