I used many embellishments for this original -(and probably never to be duplicated no matter how hard I tried). Some included multi-coloured swquins, buttons for eyes, lame for the butterflies, and cats wings and sparkle fabric paint for the stars.

The entire top was appliqued onto a royal blue velvet. The sequinned "yellow brick road" leads directly to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Every once and awhile someone who is VERY trusting says "Design a Quilt for me". Below is the result. (apologies to my tradition bound grandmother for this one) This quilt took nearly a year to complete.
