Description:
This is a very large, ambitious piece. The entire quilt was hand quilted first (very unusual) and a variety of techniques were used including applique and foundation paper piecing to form the planets. Glass stars were added as embellishments.

A lot of lameé makes this a truly sparkling piece. It took 6 months to complete.

"The planets were hand painted onto white satin. The rings were embellished with lots of "sparkle paint".
