I have been described by many (and rightly so ) as a quilting addict. My work is displayed each year at our Cabbagetown Festival which is held each September. I also teach quilting classes at the Riverdale Farm.

My grandmother, a true quilting expert was my first teacher. As I played (and listened) under the canopy of her quilting frame permanently set up in her living room ,I learned many things including why the local quilters always came to her "quilting bees". (She was the reporter of all local events for the neighbourhood newspaper and absentees were duly reported, with more information that was sometimes necessary!)

Besides who wanted to take the chance to be the topic of discussion in absentia. After all tongues and fingers seemed to work at the same fantastic speed. I say this in jest and with no disrespect to her as loved her dearly and can truly thank her for my love of this art form.

I inherited her quilting frames as well as a great appreciation for the talent, skills, and patience required to complete a hand-quilted work of art.

My own style of quilting incorporates many of the traditional methods used in her quilts as well as more contemporary patterns and my own designs.
